Summary:   Essay provides a description for the last Imperial Family of Russia: The Romanovas.


Nicholas the second was born in 1868, his father was Emperor Alexander III and his mother was Empress Maria Fyodorvna of Russia. He was a very immature child because his mother was so possessive of her sons. Because of the fact that he was immature, he didn't take his education serious, therefore he wasn't as educated as he should have been. Nicholas lived his life in his father's shadow, he became the Tsar of Russia in November of 1894 at the age of 26. He had no political opinion and very little experience in government.

Soon after taking the throne he married Princess Alix of HesseDarnstadt, Germany. As soon as the were married Alix converted to Russian Orthodoxy, so she changed her name to Alexandra. His wife didn't fit into Russian society because of her British values.....
