Queen Elizabeth
Throughout history, there have been women who have risen above men, when it thought it couldn't be done. Queen Elizabeth was one of these women. "I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king." Elizabeth became one of the most loved monarchs of all time. The reign of Queen Elizabeth I is often called "The Golden Age." During this time, England emerged as one of the most powerful and prosperous countries in the world. Queen Elizabeth is remembered for her outstanding abilities and achievements. Elizabeth's reign as Queen impacted not only England but also the rest of Europe.
Queen Elizabeth was a committed Protestant. She did not believe in persecuting any of her people for their religious beliefs therefore, the split of the Catholics and Protestants meant that her government was crueler to Catholics than she liked....
