General Sherman qouted "war is hell." Indeed the civil war was a hell of a war. The civil war caused tremendous political, economic, technological and social changes in the United States.

The North and the South had their differences as they broke away from Britian in the Revolutionary War. After all, every place that live in somewhat totally different climates and live different lifestyles will be different. But with the Industrial Revolution come and gone the two parts of the United States got too different. After a while they had two totally differnt views and morals. But still they continued to be united. Because of the Industrial Revolution the Union was getting bigger and more powerful so that now in Congress the North overpowered the South. That is the real reason for the South's secession from.....
