Summary: Essay analyzes the novel "Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech, which is about a young girls struggle and trying to deal with the loss of her mother.
The book I read Walk Two Moons is about a thirteen year old girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle who is traveling from Ohio to Idaho for her mother's birthday. She is traveling with her gram and gramps in hope of bringing her mother back. On the way she begins to tell a story about her best friend Phoebe Winterbottom who received mysterious messages, met a lunatic, and whose mother went away.

The story begins with her starting on her way to Idaho with her grandparents after all the adventures with Phoebe. While on their way her gramps ask her to entertain them so she does by telling them the story of Phoebe. She begins her story off with the trip to Margaret Cadeaver's house where she also met Mrs. Patridge, her elderly mother.
