Neutrino Summary

Fundamental particle with no electric charge, little mass, and a spin value of 12. Neutrinos belong to the lepton family of subatomic particles.

There are three types of neutrino, each associated with a charged lepton: the electron, the muon, and the tau. Neutrinos are the most penetrating of subatomic particles because they react with matter only by the weak force. They do not cause ionization, because they are not electrically charged. All types of neutrino have masses much smaller than their charged partners.
