Steven Bochco Summary

(born Dec. 16, 1943, New York, N.Y., U.S.) U.S.

television writer, director, and producer. He worked as a scriptwriter and producer for Universal Studios (1966–78) and MTM Enterprises (1978–85) before forming his own production company in 1987. He cowrote and produced such successful television dramas as Hill Street Blues (1981–86), L.A. Law (1986–94), and NYPD Blue (from 1993), winning numerous Emmy Awards for his scripts.
