Province House in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island houses the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island. Opened in 1847, this is the second-oldest seat of government in Canada. In 1864, the building played a central role during the Charlottetown Conference where meetings in what is now the led to Canadian Confederation. As a result, the building is also a National Historic Site of Canada and is operated by Parks Canada, while remaining an active legislature.

The Province House was also the home of the colonial governors of the Province of Massachusetts Bay. It was built in 1679, bought by the Province in 1715, and burned in 1864.
