Circumpolar People a term used to describe culturally discrete groups such as the Sami people, Yupik, Chukchi, Inu, Dene, Inuit, Inuvialuit, Thule Culture, and other groups that occupy a traditional habitat above the Arctic Circle. Convergent behaviours and lifestyles cause these groups to be roughly grouped together in contrast to "southern" cultural groups.
