Candelária (Portuguese) or Candelaria (Spanish) is used as a toponym in parts of the world where those languages are or were spoken. Candelaria is also a pagan holliday 'Imbolc' (IM-BULK) that is celebrated throughout most of Mexico on February 2nd, though most people don't associate "El dia de la Candelaria" (The day of Candelaria) with paganism and they rather associate it as the counter-part holiday of January 6th "El dia de Reyes" (The day of the three wisemen). In most regions of Mexico, whomever finds the babies hidden inside the "Rosca de Reyes" (Kings Cake) on January 6th is obligated to bring food (mostly tamales) to a gathering held on February 2nd.
