Spooks, the term Aftermath was used in the UK television drama Spooks where it was a joint US-UK agreement that global warming was going to occur and there was nothing that could be done about it. The US/UK would form an alliance where they would invade smaller countries and take the natural resources; they estimated that the world's population would fall by roughly 35%.

Aftermath originally meant "the grass that grew after the first crop of hay had been taken", but now usually means "that which happens after", often with a negative connotation. It can refer to one of these:
