During his 15-year career with the National Football League, Reggie White dominated the league as one of its most ferocious defensive players. White struck terror into many an offense with his strength, speed, stamina, and ability to make the big play. Curiously enough, White's gift for reeking havoc begins and always ended on the football field. The rest of his time was spent doing charity work inspired by his deep Christian faith.

In 1993 White became the highest-paid defensive player in football history when he signed a four-year, $17 million contract with the Green Bay Packers. He made the investment pay off when he helped lead the Packers to a Super Bowl title following the 1996 season. The all-time NFL leader in quarterback sacks, White earned the title of "The Minister of Defense" early in his career.
