Joe Montana thrives on pressure. When he was young, his dad pressured him to excel in sports. At Notre Dame University, Montana was nicknamed "The Comeback Kid" for bringing the Fighting Irish back when the game seemed lost. The Montana magic continued in the National Football League (NFL) as he led his team to 29 fourth-quarter come-from-behind rallies and four Super Bowl titles. Perhaps the most accurate passer ever to play in the NFL, Montana overcame career threatening injuries and opposing teams to become one of the best quarterbacks of all time.

Joseph C. Montana Jr. was born in New Eagle, Pennsylvania, and was an only child. The area in western Pennsylvania where he grew up is known for producing great quarterbacks including Joe's childhood idol, Hall-of-Fame quarterback Joe Namath.
