"Skating, passing, shooting. The whole game is so exciting, so fast, so fun!"--Cammie Granato.
Cammie Granato was born to play hockey. Along with her four brothers she played the game almost every day growing up. Unlike her brothers, however, Granato learned at an early age that she would never be able to play in the National Hockey League (NHL) because she was a girl. Many people would have quit at that time, but not Granato. She continued to play the game she loved and in 1998 her dream came true. Granato was the captain of the gold medal winning U.S. women's hockey team at the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan.
