William Shakespeare (September 27, 1912 - January 17, 1974) was an American football player. He was drafted in the 1936 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers but never played a game in the NFL. In World War II, Shakespeare went from private to captain, won four battle stars and the Bronze Star for gallantry in action. He was also president of the Cincinnati Rubber Manufacturing Company.
