What's Mine and Yours Overview

In Naima Coster's novel What's Mine and Yours, when the Noelle, Margarita, and Diane Ventura's mother falls ill with cancer, the three estranged sisters must all return to their North Carolina hometown. Although each woman believes she has created a life and identity independent of her family, throughout the sisters' time together, they find unresolved troubles from their familial past threatening their understanding of self. The sisters must learn to make amends in order to repair their intimate relationship with others. The novel explores themes including identity, love, and adversity.
