Tulips Overview

“Tulips” is a nine-stanza poem by American poet, Sylvia Plath. The poem was published in Plath’s second collection of poetry, Ariel, in 1965, three years after Plath’s death by suicide. The poem is an intimate look at the speaker's shifting sense of self within a sanitized, stark, and empty hospital setting.
