The Silkworm (A Cormoran Strike Novel) Overview

In The Silkworm, the second novel in the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith (aka J. K. Rowling), private detective Strike accepts a missing person case that introduces him to the rarefied world of London's literary writers and publishers. Upon finding the gruesome corpse of the missing author, Owen Quine, Strike learns that Quine died exactly like the hero of his last manuscript, Bombyx Mori (Latin for Silkworm): tied up, guts torn out, with something acidic poured over him. Strike sees through the lies, deceit, and gossip perpetuated for decades within the group of writers, editors, and publishers, to unmask the killer, correct the destructive misinformation, and provide the reader with an elegant and satisfying solution.
