Holly Black's The Queen of Nothing is the third of the Folk of the Air series. Jude was taken to Elfhame as a child but came into power when she put a young prince, Cardan, on the throne. As the second novel of this series ended, Jude was banished to the mortal world but returns when her twin sister Taryn is in trouble, only to discover that she had the power to return anytime she wanted. She manipulates the intrigues of court and fights a battle to save the man she loves, who just happens to be the High King of Elfhame. The novel's main themes are the lure of power, the importance of alliances, and the brutality of Faerieland.
