The Priory of the Orange Tree Overview

Samantha Shannon-Jones' novel, The Priory of the Orange Tree, is the story of an alternative world in which religions and fear keep many of the countries isolated from each other. Dragons are a common sight in some parts of this world, and other countries fear and hate them. Sabran is ruler of Inys, and she calls on a new time of unity as the world faces almost-certain destruction from a horrible dragon called the Nameless One. The main themes of this novel are hope, the role of rulers, and the belief systems of this world.
