The Guardians: A Novel Overview

In John Grisham's novel, The Guardians, attorney Cullen Post must deal with an attempted contract killing, missing evidence, and a haunted house in his attempt to get Quincy Miller exonerated. Miller has already spent 22 years in prison for a murder he did not commit. Post, with the help of the non-profit Guardian Ministries, has already helped eight wrongly convicted clients be exonerated. He is trying to add the names of Miller and another client, Duke Russell, to that list. Themes in the novel include the triumph of the underdog, the manipulation of racial differences, and the trouble with lies.
