The Good People Overview

Hannah Kent’s The Good People is a historical novel about the social interactions in an isolated Irish valley. The valley community believes in both Catholicism and in their folkloric traditions, especially the existence and the interference of fairies. When misfortune sweeps over the community, they search to find its origins in each other and their supposed connections to the supernatural, yielding fatal results.
