Alexandra Bracken's novel, The Darkest Minds, is the story of a generation of children who possess supernatural powers, some to the point that they can prompt a person to commit suicide through the mere power of suggestion. Many of the youngsters with the strongest powers also have the Darkest Minds, willing to use their powers to hurt others.
