The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a action-adventure game released in 2005 by Traveller's Tales. The game is based on the novel-adapted movie of the same name. It was released in November before the movie for most major consoles including the Gamecube, PC, Xbox, Playstation 2, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance.

Overview
Playable Characters
You can play as Peter Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie and Lucy Pevensie. The game sports both single player and co-op modes. Only two players may play at once, but there is a maximum of four characters per level that you can use. You can switch between characters at anytime, taking advantage of each character's special moves and features. For example, Lucy can tame and ride wolves, while Susan shoots arrows and Edmund climbs things. Peter has the Sword of Narnia which he uses for defense against enemy creatures. They can all use melee attacks, and special abilities, such as Lucy's healing power. The characters can also team up with each other to produce various combo moves. For instance, Peter will team up with Edmund to swing him around in a circle while Edmund kicks anything in his path. Or, Susan can team up with Lucy to smash through barriers. There are also special moves which you unlock as you progress into the game.
The Enemies
You will have to fight many of the White Witch's evil minions, all of which are creatures from mythology that live in Narnia. They include Wolves, Ogres, Minoboars, Ghouls, Cyclops, Minotaurs, Ankle Slicers, Boggles, Werewolves, Werebats, Horrors and Dwarves.
Story
The fantasy land of Narnia has been under the spell of the evil White Witch, who makes it always winter but never Christmas, but when Aslan (which is one of the characters in the game) comes, it will be spring again and the Witch's reign will be over. Four children enter Narnia and, along with the legendary lion, Aslan, help defeat the White Witch and her evil minions.
Procedure
As you move through the game, you'll collect coins that can be used to purchase special moves and items. Your collection will grow the further you get through the game. Items available for purchase include the ability to tame different animals, increase your health, do double damage, and more. These are necessary at some parts in the game.
An additional challenge to the game is the Bonus Shields. Each level will have a set amount of bonus shields, and as you replay the levels, you can try to find them to get 100% on the game. Some levels will have as little as 5, while others will have over 20. Another challenge is to find the statues. This is best to do while you are doing the game the first time through. When you collect a statue, it marks it for Aslan the Lion, who can turn it back to life. The more statues you collect, the more reinforcements you'll have in the final Great Battle. If you lose all of your life, the game will automatically set you back at the last checkpoint you passed. If you have passed no checkpoints, you will restart at the beginning of the level. Movie clips from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe will play at times, holding the game together with the movie. The levels range from escaping the Pevensie house in London during World War II, floating down the Great River, the White Witch's castle, to the final epic battle. Every level follows the hack-and-slash design, but most levels take place and different scenarios and, thus, call for different strategies, such as escaping from the housekeeper in the final level in England. The game can be played in two modes, Normal and Hard. Hard, like most games, basically makes your stamina lower, and that of the bosses higher. The game also features a great amount of replay value, as you can go back and signal the statues for Aslan.
Patches and Updates
After the game was released a bug in the game was discovered. In the PC version of the game, the White Witch remains behind the rocks. Shooting arrows and other attacks fail to draw her out and into battle. This occurs after defeating the two Cyclopes. This issue is resolved by downloading and installing the Chronicles of Narnia Update. Here is how to do it: Narnia Official Site Click on the link below.
