"The Call" was the second single from Black & Blue, an album by American pop band Backstreet Boys.

Video

The video is a story of a man cheating on his girlfriend, with a role taken by each of the boys: AJ runs through traffic; Brian dodges bullets; Nick gets away in a car with friend Howie, only to find he is actually her; and Kevin features in a chase scene. In the last scene, all the boys look into a crowd of both angry men and women. Band member AJ McLean later admitted on the Oprah Winfrey Show (in an episode discussing his recovery from depression and drug and alcohol abuse) that it was on the set of this video that he tried cocaine for the first time. The end of the video is the only time all five boys are in the same scene together. There is also a remix of the song featuring The Neptunes. The Music Video won MTV Asia Awards Favourite Video. MTV Video Music Awards Best Pop Video.
