The Agathas Overview

The Agathas is a YA Mystery written by Kathleen Glasgow and Liz Lawson. Alice Ogilvie returns to Castle Cove High School after spending several months under house arrest for faking her own disappearance--just like her idol, Agatha Christie, once did. Alice wanted to get back at her ex-boyfriend, Steve, for dating her best friend, Brooke, but now the whole school hates Alice. The night of Halloween, Brooke is murdered, and Steve is arrested for the crime. Alice believes Steve is innocent, though, and she knows that the police are corrupt, so she teams up with her tutor, Iris, to investigate the murder on her own. The novel explores abuse, literature, bias, moral codes, and sensationalized crime.
