Snow: A Novel Overview

Snow is a mystery novel by John Banville. The story takes place in 1957 and follows Detective Inspector St. John Strafford. Strafford investigates the murder of a priest in a small town in Ireland. The main suspects are the family members who live in the house where Lawless was murdered. However, as Strafford investigates, he can find no clear evidence implicating any of them. Meanwhile, the Catholic Church attempts to block the investigation altogether. The novel explores themes of violence, secrets, family, emotional turmoil, and justice.
