Sisterland Overview

Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld is about twin sisters Daisy and Violet Schramm. The story of their lives is told from the first person perspective of Daisy in multiple flashbacks. Despite their ups and downs, now as adults, the sisters can still retreat to Sisterland - a place where only they exist. Both girls have precognition though one sister cultivates it while the other attempts to eradicate it. Both sisters will face trials. One will marry, one won't; one will have children and the other will not. An earthquake prediction is the catalyst that changes their lives.
