Sing, Unburied, Sing Overview
Jesmyn Ward's novel Sing, Unburied, Sing is a story about a wounded African American family's reckoning with history in the Post-Katrina Mississippi Delta. Narrated by three distinct characters--a boy, his drug-addicted mother, and a ghost from Mississippi's notorious penitentiary at Parchman Farm--the novel follows the family's road trip to retrieve the boy's father from Parchman.
