Silence Overview

Depicted during the 1600s persecution of Christians in Japan, Silence is a historical novel that traverses the silence of God and the validity of maintaining faith while witnessing the suffering of Christian Japanese and the torture of foreign missionaries. Portuguese priests Sebastian Rodridgues and Francisco Garrpe travel to Japan in search of their former teacher and missionary Christovao Ferreira whom has rumored to apostatized during torture at the hands of the Japanese.
