Robert Hurst was senior producer for the newsmagazine W-FIVE for much of the show's existence.In 1983, he won the New York International Gold for Best Documentary. He is now president of CTV National News. He was also the president of the Purple SPUR Society in 1971 at the University of Western Ontario.
