River of Kings Overview

The River of Kings alternates between three district storylines. One follows a fictionalized account of an actual French expedition to the New World in the 1560s. Another storyline follows the life of a hapless fisherman named Hiram Loggins. The other storyline follow Hiram’s sons as they travel down to Altamaha River to scatter their deceased father’s ashes in the Atlantic Ocean. The novel explores themes of hardship, greed, loss, love, and nature.
