Oedipus and Creon are both very similar leaders. They are loved by the people and also are feared. They each had many great positive traits such as Oedipus' knowledge or Creon' caution yet they also had many negative character traits like Oedipus and Creon's overbearing arrogance and unwillingness to change.

King Oedipus in Sophocles's "Oedipus Rex" is a tragic hero who received an unjust punishment from the Greek gods. The king had character flaws, but he was punished for crimes he did not commit. The text shows that the king would not have purposefully killed his father and had sex with his mother.

Suffering, hubris and moral responsbility are all interralated and cannot exist apart from each other in ancient Greek literature. This is illustration in the tragedy "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles.
