New World Mobility (official named "CSL New World Mobility Group") is a mobile phone operator in Hong Kong. It claimed to have a 34% share of Hong Kong's mobile market, when combining CSL's premium services (formerly Hong Kong Telecom) and New World PCS's low cost services. New World Mobility provides GSM-900 , GSM-1800 and UMTS-2100 (3G) services with the brand "1O1O", "One2Free", "New World Mobility", and an older TDMA service called "1+1". CSL New World Mobility Group is 76.4% owned by Telstra and 23.6% by a wholly owned subsidiary of New World Development. CSL is an abbreviation for Communication Services Limited and their original branding of "Create a Simple Life".

- 1984: CSL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Telecom, launches Hong Kong's first public mobile radiotelephone service using NEC's Advance Mobile Telephone System.
- July 1993: CSL launches its GSM service [1]
- June 1997: CSL launches its GSM 1800 network
- August 1997: New World PCS commences operation, with a GSM 1800 network
- December 1997: CSL acquires Pacific Link Communications. The acquisition included the digital cellular phone services (D-Amps), PCS (GSM1800) and radio paging services.
- 2000 - PCCW Limited buys Cable & Wireless HKT, including subsidiary CSL (Hong Kong Telecom CSL Limited), for an estimated US$38 billion from Cable & Wireless. [2][3]
- Feb 2001: PCCW sells 60% of CSL to Telstra for $3.05 billion, in a joint venture called "Regional Wireless Company" (RWC) [4] [5]
- July 2002: Telstra purchases PCCW's 40% stake in RWC for A$1.1billion, giving Telstra 100% ownership of CSL [6] [7]
- March 2006: CSL & New World PCS Limited merge to become the CSL New World Mobility Group [8].
- January 2007: New World Mobile Holdings agrees to sell its quarter stake to its parent company New World Development, for US$321 million. [9]
