John Lewis's graphic memoirs, March, Book One - Book Three is the story of Lewis' early life and his early involvement with the quest for equal rights for Black people. Through a program of nonviolence, Lewis lead his fellow students to enact small changes, leading up his larger role in the movement. The main themes are segregation and integration, injustices against Black people, and the roles of fear and violence.
