Killing Heidi is the third album of Australian band Killing Heidi, released in 2004. The album followed the group's 2002 album Present. After the lukewarm critical reception to "Present", the band's self-titled third album was hailed as a major return to form. The album was almost devoid of keyboards and synths, boasting a 'stripped-back' approach to rock that eased Killing Heidi back into the public eye after a two-year wait between albums. Although the album performed only a little better than Present, selling about 50,000 copies and reaching Gold status, the band largely returned to prominence and favour in society after the release of their third album. "Killing Heidi" spawned two hit singles: the anthemic "I Am" (#16 on the ARIA charts), and the stripped-back rock 'n' roll of "Calm Down" (#23). A third song from the album, "Running Underwater" was released to Australian radio in 2005, but like Ammyl in 2003 it was never released as a commercial single.
