Karl Burnett is a New Zealand actor best known for his portrayal of Nick Harrison on the long-running New Zealand soap, Shortland Street. Burnett now works as a boom operator on the show, after admitting that he had blown all the money he earned as an actor on cars and "fast living". Karl is now a sound recordist for the New Zealand version of the Australian travel show "Getaway".
