Jason Burnett

Jason Nicholas Burnett (born December 16, 1986 in Etobicoke, Ontario) is a Canadian trampoline gymnast. He is noted for having completed, in training, the world's most difficult trampoline routine with a degree of difficulty of 18.5. He has repeatedly placed first in Canada in both individual and synchronised trampoline.

In 2006 he placed first in the Pan-American Trampoline Championships in Monterrey, Mexico and placed fourth in the World Cup of Trampoline in Salzgitter, Germany. On April 2, 2007, at the Lake Placid Trampoline World Cup he completed a routine with a degree of difficulty (DD or tariff) of 17.50 becoming the new FIG recognised World record holder[1]. He finished in 2nd place in the competition. The following week in Quebec City, he completed a synchronised trampoline routine with his partner, Philip Barbaro, which had a world record DD of 16.0. However as their marks for synchronisation and execution were very low, they only came in 7th place in the competition[2]. He currently trains at Skyriders Trampoline Place in Richmond Hill alongside Karen Cockburn and Mathieu Turgeon with trainer Dave Ross.
