James and the Giant Peach Summary: James and the Giant Peach is a children’s novel by Roald Dahl. Published in 1961, the novel follows seven-year-old James Henry Trotter as he and a group of very special creatures have a number of adventures while travelling from England to New York City in a giant magical peach. Along with James and the Giant Peach, Roald Dahl is the author of a number of children’s books which are considered classics today including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Danny the Champion of the World, and Fantastic Mr. Fox.
