Heads of Colored People Overview

This collection of short stories considers and dramatizes different aspects of black American life as lived in the early decades of the 21st Century. References to contemporary technologies, and to people’s relationships with those technologies, are one of several ways in which the various stories consider different experiences of living within a black body. There are also considerations of the tension between outer appearance and inner reality, and of different sorts of a need for attention.
