Good God's Urge
(1996)

Good God's Urge is the second and 'final' album by Porno for Pyros. It was released on May 28, 1996. The band went on a brief hiatus shortly after this album's release because guitarist Peter DiStefano was diagnosed with cancer. On this second album, Porno for Pyros changed their style. Instead of their funky alternative rock style from the first album, they play a rather exotic music with folklore elements. This exotic ambiance was celebrated with guests such as Mike Watt, Michael Balzary (also known as 'Flea'), and Leo Chelyapov. The only known single released from the album was "Tahitian Moon".
