Golden Child: A Novel Overview
Golden Child is the debut novel of Trinidadian author Claire Adam. The novel takes place in a village near the Trinidadian city of Port of Spain. Clyde is the father of twin boys Peter and Paul. Peter is very intelligent, but Paul struggles in school. Clyde and his wife Joy face many challenges as they attempt to secure the futures of their two sons. The novel explores themes of money, criminality, ostracism, hope, and tragedy.
