Gingerbread Overview

Helen Oyeyemi's novel Gingerbread maps the individual's complex relationship between past and present and remembrance and reality through the story of Harriet Lee and her family. As Harriet retells the story of her former life while and since living in Druhástrana, she works to achieve reconciliation with her past.
