The song was confirmed as one of the album's singles in July 2007 by the girls in an interview with Radio Disney. Via their official MySpace profile, the girls stated that the track is a "party anthem" with "Latin influences, and a sample of Lionel Richie's '80's hit single All Night Long (All Night)". They also stated that the track was produced by J. R. Rotem and was written by Evan "Kidd" Bogart and Elan Luz of The Dey.[1] The song premiered on Radio Disney on September 15, 2007. As promotion for the single and for the album, the Girls performed Fuego on Good Morning America on October 12, 2007 and on The Early Show on October 13, 2007.
