Fire & Blood: 300 Years Before A Game of Thrones Overview

Fire & Blood is a novel that tells the history of the House Targaryen, the only family of dragonlords that survive the Doom of Valyria, and how they began to reside on Dragonstone. The account begins with the conquest of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms by Aegon the Conqueror and ends with the beginning of the reign of one of his descendants, King Aegon III, in 136 AC (after the conquest). The story purports to be a history written by Archamaester Gyldayn of the Citadel at Oldtown and transcribed by George R. R. Martin.
