Felix, Bishop of Urgell

Felix, Bishop of Urgel (or Urgell), was a religious figure of the eighth century who lived at the monastery Sant SadurnĂ­ de Tabernoles in the foothills of the Pyrenees.[1] Felix's birth date, birth place and date he assumed the Bishop of Urgell are unknown.[2] Condemned by Alcuin at the Council of Frankfurt in 794 by the Imperial Carolingian court[3] for teaching Adoptionism theology. The Council determined that his scriptural interpretations were heretical.[4] He was driven into exile and died in Lyon[5] in 818.[6]
