Empire High School, Tucson, Arizona is one of the first public high schools to be planned, designed, built, and opened with all-wireless laptop technology, and fully digital, i.e. no textbooks, curriculum resources. It is a part of the Vail School District. Empire opened for student use in July of 2005., and 2007 is the first year to have students graduate. Empire has an estimated 500 students, 50 of which are leaving as seniors. But next year, Empire will be gaining an extra 150 or so. Empire's mascot is the Raven, while their colors are Red, Black and Silver. The high school competes at the 3A level in athletics. The school also features more than a dozen student clubs.
