Disclaimer Overview
Reneé Knight's 2015 novel Disclaimer is a suspense/mystery novel about a woman's secret from her past showing back up in her life in an unexpected and destructive way. Catherine Ravenscroft is a documentary film maker who finds a book called The Perfect Stranger in her house mysteriously one day. After reading a few pages of the book she realizes she is the main character and the plot deals with an event from her past that she has kept secret from her husband and son. Catherine must figure out the source of the book and stop it's author from exacting terror on her family. Disclaimer deals with themes of loneliness, strangers, loss of identity, and voyeurism.
