David James Christian Faber (born July 7, 1961) was a Conservative member of the Parliament of the United Kingdom and is now an author.

Family and education
The son of Julian Faber and Lady Caroline Faber (a daughter of the former British prime minister Harold Macmillan, Earl of Stockton), Faber was educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford. At Oxford, he was a member of the Bullingdon Club. Faber married Sally Gilbert, a television weather girl, and they had one son together, Henry, but later divorced.
Career
Faber worked in marketing and as a political assistant to Jeffrey Archer before entering the House of Commons. He served in the British Parliament as a Conservative Member of Parliament for Westbury until he stood down at the 2001 general election, to be succeeded by fellow Conservative Andrew Murrison. He then began a new career as a writer. He is also a past committee member of the M.C.C., the governing body of the game of cricket.
