Book of Numbers Overview

In Book of Numbers, a work of metafiction, author Joshua Cohen creates a fictional version of himself who is a struggling ghostwriter roped into penning the autobiography of another fictional Joshua Cohen (referred to as “Principal”), founder of a computer software company known as Tetration. Hopping between New York, Palo Alto, California, the United Arab Emirates, and Europe, Cohen learns about the rise of Tetration in the emerging Digital Era as well as Principal’s secondary reason for having his autobiography written. Woven throughout the novel are themes of sexuality, spirituality versus tangibility, and anonymity.
