Synopsis

The story begins with a young married couple; Samantha and Craig Howard (Heather Graham and James Purefoy), who are desperate to have a baby. Their hopes are dashed, however, when Samantha is diagnosed as infertile and the couple can't afford the medical treatments that might allow her to conceive. Just when it seems their dreams will end, the couple are given the opportunity to receive free treatments from a new, and relatively unheard of, fertility clinic. It soon becomes clear something is amiss as, in the laboratory where the couple's eggs and sperm samples are being mixed; the scientist takes a large, engraved metal needle and injects a red substance into Craig's sperm. The couple remains unaware of this and, after the treatments, they are overjoyed when it is discovered Samantha's pregnant with twins. Near the end of her pregnancy, Samantha begins to suspect something is wrong and that she has become an unwilling victim in a pact with evil. It is eventually discovered that the scientists at the clinic are Devil worshipers and she has been impregnated with the Devil's DNA, not Craig's, and they plan to steal the babies shortly after birth and raise them to eventually destroy mankind.
